Park offers a safe and refreshing recreational water play environment for children up to 12 years
Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) opened Splash Park within Al Majaz Waterfront, on Thursday 21 June. The Park provides children and their families a safe and fun recreational environment that combines unique architectural designs with safety, maximum stability, and fun-filled entertainment. Splash Park is a fully automated, zero-depth aquatic play area suitable for the entire family, from toddlers to adults, as well as for children with special needs. State-of-the-art technology reduces water consumption through sequenced activation and low-flow hypodermic technology. Speaking about the opening, Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer, Chief Operating Officer of Shurooq, said "Splash Park is a unique concept - a safe and refreshing entertaining water play system for children up to 12 years. What makes this system different is that there is no standing water, so there are fewer safety risks involved. This also makes it possible for children with special needs to make use of the facility with their wheelchairs and enjoy playing with others." He went on saying that Shurooq continuously seeks to offer innovative and exceptional concepts and facilities in the tourism and leisure destinations undertaken and managed by the Authority. "The Park features a wonderful flowers theme, and children will have the opportunity to enjoy playing under the aqua dome and chasing their friends with water sprinklers within a safe and zero-depth aquatic play area. The park will be open during the summer from 4:00 to 11:30 p.m.," he added. Al Majaz Waterfront, Shurooq's debut project, which was opened in December last year, is situated in Sharjah's most vital and commercial district on the picturesque Khalid Lagoon. The Dhs120 million Al Majaz Waterfront will be the main venue for all major events to be hosted in the Emirate, such as the Sharjah Ramadan Festival, the Sharjah Water Festival, the Sharjah Lights Festival and the Sharjah Grand Prix - UIM Formula1 Powerboat World Championship.
