Shurooq concludes Eiman Qasis and honours participating scholars and preachers
29 religious and social lectures organised over 12 days The Ramadan educational and awareness activity ‘Eiman Oasis’, an initiative by the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) in collaboration with Sharjah Islamic Affairs Department, ended on a high note in Sharjah last Saturday evening, in participation of 16 scholars and preachers from a number of Arab and Islamic countries, who delivered valuable lectures that addressed various religious, educational and daily life topics. The Eiman Oasis activities this year included 29 lectures hosted at Al Salaf Al Saleh Mosque in Sharjah, Omar Ibn Al Khattab Mosque in Khorfakkan, and Al Huda Mosuqe in Kalba. The lectures were attended by large groups of people prayers who were eager to attend live every evening after Taraweeh prayers. In addition, a larger number of people watched the lectures via social media platforms. Shurooq was successfully able to use technology to serve religious awareness and educational purposes. Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer, Shurooq’s Chief Operating Officer, said that this year’s edition of Eiman Oasis addressed various topics and interests and delivered useful information in line with the atmosphere of the Holy Month of Ramadan. He pointed out that posting the lectures live on the website and social media platforms added value to this year activities, adding that this initiative aimed to reach a greater audience inside the UAE and abroad. He was thrilled with the event’s increasing popularity year on year. The 9th Eiman Oasis’ lectures were presented by prolific scholars and preachers who have high level knowledge of religious and social issues, most notably Dr Abdullah Al Kamali, Sheikh Dr Saleh Abdul Karim, Sheikh Dr Abdulsalam Al Showaer, Sheikh Dr Abdulaziz bin Jibrin, Sheikh Khalid Mohammed Al Qahtani, Sheikh Dr Mohammed Ghaith, Sheikh Yousef Al Hamadi, Sheikh Dr. Hisham Al Housani, and Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah Al Hamadi, Sheikh Dr. Saleh Al Seheimi and Sheikh Dr. Abdulrazzak Al Badr. At the end of the Eiman Oasis’ activities, Shurooq honoured the scholars and preachers, presenting certificates of appreciation in recognition of their outstanding efforts in spreading awareness surrounding various aspects of Islamic doctrine, jurisprudence, prophet biography, interpretation, Hadith and many more topics related to family affairs and ethics and code of conduct during the Holy Month.
