Al Sarkal: we are meeting with world-renowned architectural development firms, and expect to announce new projects shortly
Shurooq CEO H.E. Marwan Jassim Al Sarkal has been involved in a series of meetings with senior representatives of international firms in order to discuss possible partnerships, highlight Sharjah's favourable investment climate, and hammer out the best deals for Shurooq's current and upcoming projects and investments. Speaking of the meetings, Al Sarkal said, "Shurooq set out to execute its strategy on two levels, internal and external. On an internal level, Shurooq will supervise a number of important projects, provide potential opportunities and prepare a proper investment climate. On an external level, Shurooq is working to promote itself - both locally and internationally - while also promoting the advantages provided by the Sharjah government to encourage investment." "In light of our internal goals, we have set up numerous meetings with world renowned companies and establishments in the field of architectural development, including Los Angeles-based Jerde Partnership, with whom we are currently discussing a cooperation agreement. We expect to announce new projects in the near future," Al Sarkal added. Shurooq has already made significant progress in the development of two of its biggest projects yet: the Heart of Sharjah project, which aims to revitalise the heritage area, and Al Majaz Park, which is set to make the park one of Sharjah's most exciting tourist attractions. The completion of Phase 1 of Al Majaz Park's development works is expected to coincide with the launch of the Sharjah Water Festival and the F-1 Powerboat World Championships later this year.
