Shurooq and Oman’s Omran discuss avenues of cooperation

A delegation from the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority, recently visited Omran.
The meeting, during which a number of issues were discussed with the aim of opening new vistas of cooperation that will serve the interests of both parties in developing the tourism sector in the region and exchanging experiences in this regard, was attended by Mr. Elie Armaly, Business Development Director, Shurooq. They were briefed on a host of projects carried out by Omran during the last few years and its plans for future projects. In turn, The willingness to strengthen mutual cooperation between Shurooq and Omran in light of the distinguished relations between the two brotherly countries, was expressed by all involved. Speaking on the occasion, Al Sarkal said: "The UAE and Oman have enjoyed a longstanding relationship thanks to their geographical proximity and socio-economic similarities. Therefore, the mutual cooperation in developing the tourism sector in the region and exchanging experiences and studies will have positive results and will help meet the sector's needs in the region. "Omran has excellent experience in developing the tourism sector with a portfolio of tourism projects worth $10 billion, which has generated positive returns for the tourism sector and the national economy. This is what encouraged us to visit Omran, to familiarize ourselves with a successful GCC model in this field, and to discuss ways of mutual cooperation. We hope that visits between the two parties will continue," Al Sarkal added.
