Al Qassimi meets Shurooq management, reviews future plans

H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi,recently held a meeting with the Chairperson of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq).
Al Qassimi praised Shurooq's goals to support and enhance the economic system of Sharjah, and listened to ideas and suggestions made by both the Chairperson and CEO, who expressed their appreciation of His Highness' continued support and encouragement, confirming that his encouragement adds a sense of responsibility and drives everyone in the investment sector to work harder in order to contribute to Sharjah's development growth plans. Said H.E. Sheikha Bodour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Shurooq Chairperson: "We sensed a deep appreciation by H.H, the Ruler of Sharjah, of the intense efforts made by citizens of the UAE to push the development wheel forward. His Highness also expressed his support of new ideas aimed at enhancing the investment sector in the emirate in light of its unique identity and the demands of modern times. "We would like to express our deepest gratitude to His Highness for his unlimited support of all initiatives that contribute to the development of Sharjah, and we promise to translate this support into actual work. His Highness deeply enriched the meeting with sharp insights that we will try to adopt in all Shurooq projects," added Al Qasimi. Throughout the meeting, Shurooq management listened to His Highness' valuable recommendations regarding support of the investment climate in Sharjah and how to make the emirate one of the safe havens for the investment process through facilitated procedures. Al Qassimi also took the opportunity to praise Shurooq for its efforts in making Sharjah a modern and cultural forerunner in the UAE. Shurooq's plan for implementing its strategy within the emirate is two-fold. The first part revolves around attracting investors and assisting them in choosing areas in the emirate which can be developed into tourist sectors; adopting major quality projects which is consistent with the objectives of development in the emirate; and discussing ways in which to cooperate with other authorities and departments related to economic and tourism affairs in the country in order to find the best possible ways of achieving success, with positive returns for Sharjah. The second part focuses on developing various future projects under the supervision and responsibility of Shurooq. Some of these projects have already been approved and the plans finalized, with the aim of publicly announcing and launching them according to a set schedule, which will be made available to the media in due course.
