The event marked the celebrations of the 42nd UAE National Day, another shining chapter in the history of Emirati citizens, which underlines their support and endorsement ofthe Union and its achievements towards growth and prosperity.
The UAE flag was raised high on the imposing 75-meter flagpole at the Flag Square, which overlooks the region’s outstanding natural panoramic views. It is located near the Dibba Al Hisn Island project, a leisure and tourist attraction located on reclaimed land that was built as a residential area overlooking the Indian Ocean. It features a water canal, a host of restaurants and cafés, a cinema, children's playgrounds and other amenities, enhancing attractions and services offered to tourists and visitors to Dibba Al Hisn city and the surrounding areas.
Shurooq is keen to transform the flag squares into special destinations through the on-going development and establishment of state-of-the-art facilities, transforming them into national attractions, ideal for hosting national celebrations and ceremonies as well as tourist destinations that attract visitors from inside the country and abroad.
